About Us, or shall I say me…

Hi, yep that’s me. Nora.

The Photo Forest is my offering into this world.

Creativity is my thing; I am a photographer, graphic designer, community builder and flower lover.

After building websites for female entrepreneurs around the world (see my own website here) I found that there was a lack of REAL, diverse and just plain cool photos to use for my clients. I was sick of trawling through stock photo sites only to find photos that were ‘okay’ and I never wanted to use free stock photos as they were all overused (I saw them again and again and again).

So I decided to create my own stock photography platform. The whole process took two years from idea to manifestation (I thought I could launch in two months when I first started; #naïve!).

To me The Photo Forest is so much more than just another stock photo site. I longed for an online community which stood for a greater cause, a place where everyone could feel included, loved and accepted. With The Photo Forest my vision is to support every one of you that has ever felt underrepresented. The depiction of life in the online world is not reality.

We are not all skinny and white. We are not all under the age of 30. We all need photos that represent us.

The Photo Forest is going to be the platform where you feel included, where you feel like you have your voice heard, where you know that together we are creating a new online narrative.

If my vision resonates with you, I would be so grateful if you could take a moment to share this site with your tribe. Together we can rise strong.

If you want to find out more about me, ask me any questions or give me some feedback, you can write to me at

I always reply to my own emails.

With so much love + excitement!
